An Advicare Advocate Member Services representative will be available to assist you with any questions about your plan, including questions about claims, billing or receipt of your ID card and welcome packet.  Representatives will also be able to assist you with any issues or complaints you may have.

Nurse Advice Hotline

Our free 24/7 Nurse Advice Call Line will connect you with a nurse who can answer your health questions. The nurse can help you decide if you need to go to the Emergency Room (ER) or urgent care center, or if you should wait to see your Primary Care Provider (PCP). If you think you have an urgent problem and your doctor cannot see you right away, call the Nurse Advice Call Line for help.

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)

The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) gives free health insurance counseling to people with Medicare. In South Carolina, the SHIP is called the Insurance Counseling Assistance and Referrals for Elders (I-CARE) program. I-CARE is not connected with any insurance company or health plan.

Medicare

Medicare is the federal health insurance program for people 65 years of age or older, some people under age 65 with disabilities, and people with end-stage renal disease (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant).

Healthy Connections Medicaid helps with medical and long-term services and supports costs for people with limited incomes and resources.

The South Carolina Long Term Care Ombudsman helps people learn about nursing homes and other long-term care settings. It also helps solve problems between these settings and residents or their families.
