How to Enroll
There are two different ways you can enroll in a Medicare-Medicaid plan. The first option is to voluntarily choose a plan like Advicare Advocate from the list of available plans in your area. The second option is if you do not choose a plan by a certain date, South Carolina Healthy Connections will select one for you. You will always have the option of choosing not to participate in the program at all and may opt out at any time. The choice is entirely up to you.
If you choose to voluntarily enroll in Advicare Advocate, you can enroll by:
- Applying over the telephone. Contact the South Carolina Healthy Connections Choices Customer Service Center at (877) 552-4642 to speak with an enrollment counselor. They are available Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. TTY users should call (877) 552-4670. Let the counselor know you want to enroll in Advicare Advocate.
